Relieve pain
The early care after eye plastic surgery is mainly to relieve pain, reduce bleeding and edema and prevent infection. In most cases, bandaging will be performed after the operation, the purpose is to compress hemostasis, reduce pain and edema. Patients can apply local ice compress to the eyes to stop bleeding, relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Generally, ice is applied intermittently for 48 to 72 hours, about 30 minutes each time. But pay attention to keep the gauze clean and dry, otherwise it may cause infection of the incision.
There may be different degrees of pain after eye plastic surgery, but it is usually not very serious and can be tolerated, so there is no need to be overly afraid of postoperative pain before surgery.
If the pain is really serious after surgery, you can take analgesics to reduce symptoms. In order to prevent severe edema, the head can be properly padded during sleep.

Postoperative dressing change
Usually the doctor will ask the patient to change the dressing for the first time within 24 to 48 hours after surgery, that is, to untie the dressing. Wipe with saline or alcohol to remove the scab and secretions around the incision and eyes, and then apply gauze locally. The patient can remove the gauze after returning home, but avoid splashing water on the eyes. Try to avoid washing hair and bathing in the early stage to prevent infection.

Postoperative recovery
Local hot compress can be started 72 hours after surgery. For convenience, a small thermos bottle or thermos bag can be used. Hot compress can improve blood circulation. The gauze should also be kept clean and dry to avoid infection. It is recommended to open and close the eyes after double eyelid surgery, which is beneficial to postoperative recovery.

Postoperative diet and life
In terms of diet, we should pay attention to increase protein-rich foods, vegetables and fruits to help the wound recovery. Avoid smoking, drinking, spicy food and so on.
In terms of life, pay attention to rest and eye hygiene, try to watch less TV, play less computer and mobile phone.

Suture removal after surgery
Sutures are usually removed 5 to 7 days after eyelid surgery. In a short time after stitches are removed, the patient can continue to use antibiotics to wipe the incision and anti-scarring drugs, and local hot compress can help recover as soon as possible. Keep a good attitude during detumescence.
